Look no further if you’re in need of some wedding day inspiration that combines the beautiful woodland outdoors, stunning photos by Amberlee for Jessica Cooper Photography, and picture-perfect blooms by Larkspur Botanicals. This wedding, tucked away in the trees, has got the right amount of whimsy and romance and those two things have always gone so well together.

From the bride, Amory: My fiancé and I wanted to have a very intimate backyard wedding. We were going for a rustic yet simple style. The backyard was so gorgeous with lots of trees and greenery so we really wanted that to be a big part of the style.

Our day was romantic, fun and rustic. I went with a gold/blush color scheme. We had lots of DIY projects such as creating our seating chart. My father in law built the big piece of wood and stained it for us. Once that was done, my sister in law wrote all of the table numbers and guests names on our sign. It was one of my favorite pieces of the wedding. She also made our drink menu, ceremony sign and an “unplugged sign”. The unplugged sign was an important part for both my fiancé and I. We wanted people to really be there with us and share this special moment rather than on their phones.

We then shared our professional photos with our family & friends when we received them, which they loved. I created little cones with flower petals to have thrown once my husband and I walked out of the ceremony. I also created the table numbers. I bought lots of gold & blush picture frames and we wrote the table numbers inside of them. They were adorable and very easy to make.

Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Planning your wedding is half the fun! It may get crazy and difficult but stay true to what you want. Everyone will be happy if you are happy. Some of my best memories besides the wedding, were planning it. Such as buying my dress with my mom, cake tasting etc.

Wedding Music:
Bridal Party Processional: “More than Words,” Extreme
Bridal Processional: “How Long Will I Love You,” Ellie Goulding
Recessional: “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” Justin Timberlake
First Dance: “I’ll Be,” Edwin McCain (My husband had heard that song in the car when he was about 7 years old. He had told his nanny that would be his wedding song one day.)
We also played Endless Love by Lionel Richie which was my in-laws’ wedding song. It was their 20th anniversary so we played it for them and let them have a dance. It was a total surprise to them and such a great moment.
